The PERMIT AND LICENSE DIVISION is a division of the Mayor’s office which is directly responsible for the implementation of the Revenue code of Imus specifically for the issuance of Mayor’s/Business Permit, Tricycle Franchise & Permit, Bicycle Permit and issuance of contract of lease on Public cemeteries.

The following are the steps/processing, list of requirements, person responsible, amount to be paid and the duration of each services we are offering:
Applying for Business Permit
ALL ENTERPRISES are required to secure a Business License and Mayor’s Permit, and pay business taxes before the start of commercial operations. The license must be renewed from January 1 to 20, every year. Penalties are imposed after this period. Business taxes for new enterprises are based on capitalization. Those for succeeding years are computed as a percentage of gross receipts/sales. Payments may be made annually, semi-annually or quarterly. Taxes are due on the first 20 days of each quarter.

Procedure
New Business
New applicant must fill-up Information Sheet before applying, together with the requirements. License Personnel must check Inspection record before issuance of Checklist and Assessment from various offices (Building, Zoning, MENRO, Fire and Sanitary). Otherwise, only 15 minutes are required to secure a license.

Temporary Vendor's Permit
ALL ENTERPRISES are required to secure a Business License and Mayor’s Permit, and pay business taxes before the start of commercial operations. This Permit is issued for Temporary Vendor inside the Mall for a short period of time only.

Tricycle Franchise, Tricycle Permit and Special Permit
ALL MOTORIZED tricycles operating in the vicinity of Imus as public utility must possess a valid franchise to operate and a Mayor’s Permit.
The Sanggunian has limited the number of tricycle franchises for regular routes to 5,750 units. Only Imus residents are allowed to hold a tricycle franchise and 1,000 Special tricycle units from the originating municipalities.
The franchise and Mayor’s permit shall be for a period of 1 year and has to be secured annually starting March 1-31. Failure to renew may mean cancellation of franchise.

MOTORIZED tricycles operating as service to students and selling/ doing business with in the vicinity of Imus.

The number of Service Tricycle with Franchise or Special Permit is not more than 400 and not more than 50 for private tricycle owner. Only Imus residents are allowed to hold a service tricycle permit without Franchise.
Tricycle fees and charges are based on Amended Municipal Ordinance 2004-46 “Comprehensive Code on Tricycle Franchise in the Municipality of Imus”.

Bicycle Permit
ALL BICYCLE OPERATORS passing thru the vicinity of Imus should secure bicycle permit.
This permit is valid for 1 calendar year.

Cemetery Permit
A five (5) year contract given to Imuseños without private lot/ apartment type (3 sq. m.) at Alapan and Toclong Public Cemetery.
The expired contract must be renewed and the bones will be transferred to 0.6 sq. m. bone crypt.

Certifications
(With existing Business, No existing Business and Retirement of Business)
Business and No Business Certifications are issue to the requesting party to be used for scholarship application, hospitalization requirements, and application for housing and different loans.
ENTERPRISES that have closed or ceased to exist, or whose ownership has changed, must file for Retirement of Business. This should be done to update the municipal records and to avoid accumulation of tax payments and penalties.
