Services and Functions
  1. Formulates the local youth development plan, a three (3)-year rolling plan created in consultation with the concurrence of the local youth development council; this plan is the basis for preparing the ABYIP and CBYDP of the various sk councils.
  2. Monitors and endorses the approval of the annual budget of Annual Barangay Youth Investment Plan to the Sangguniang Panlungsod- as well as the supplemental budgets, if the funds allows the SK Council.
  3. Promulgates resolutions to carry out the objectives of the LYDP and the applicable provisions of RA No.10742 and its IRR.
  4. Initiates and implements, in coordination with any national government agency and/or any private or non-government institution, programs and projects promoting the general welfare, development, and empowerment of the youth.
  5. Holds fund-raising activities that are in line with the LYDP.
  6. Creates regular or special committees to carry out priority programs of the SK Federation.
  7. Submits annual and end-of-term program accomplishments and financial reports to the Sangguniang Panlungsod and presents the same during the meetings of the LYDC, with copies furnished the CLGOO, LYDC, COA, and NYC.
  8. Partners with the LYDC in planning and executing projects and programs of specific advocacies.
  9. Adopts and implements a policy of full public disclosure of all SK transactions and documents of public interest, in accordance with guidelines promulgated by DILG.
  10. Exercises such other powers and performs other functions as may be prescribed bylaw or ordinance, or as may be delegated by the Sangguniang Panlungsod or NYC.

Mission
Envisions to provide the youth a peaceful community which is free from the dangers of drug addiction, gambling, domestic violence, child abuse, gambling and other bad influences and wrongdoings through participatory community based programs mainly focused on sports and youth development and protection of the environment.

Vision
To strengthen and empower the capability of the youth sector through promoting participative governance that will actively engage them in the planning, monitoring, implementation, and evaluation of programs and activities, to sustain and to improve the city’s social and economic growth with the help of the youth and youth-serving organization in the City of Imus.
