Services and Functions

The Office of the Senior Citizens Affairs shall have the following functions:

  1. To plan, implement and monitor yearly work program in pursuance of the objectives of Republic Act 9257;
  2. To draw up a list of available and required services which can provided by the senior citizens;
  3. To maintain and regularly update on a quarterly basis the list of senior citizens and to issue nationally uniform individual identification card and purchase booklet, free of charge, which shall be valid anywhere in the country.
  4. To serve as a general information and liaison center to serve the needs of the senior citizens;
  5. To monitor compliance of the provision of Republic Act 9257 particularly the granting of special discounts and privileges to senior citizens;
  6. To report to the Mayor, establishments found violating any provisions of Republic Act 9257;
  7. To assist senior citizens in filing complaints or charges against any person, natural or juridical; establishment, institution, or agency refusing to comply with the privileges under the Republic Act 9257 before the Department of Justice or the provincial, city or municipal trial courts;
  8. To act or coordinate with concerned individual, establishment, institution or agency in investigating fraudulent practices and abuses of the discount and privileges exclusively granted to senior citizens; and
  9. To establish linkages and work together with accredited NGOs, POs, and the barangays in their respective areas.
Frontline Services
Senior’s ID and BOOKLET Receives form for issuance of ID’s and Booklet All citizens whose ages range from 60 years old and above.
Burial Assistance Receiving/Checking of requirements for Bereaved Family of the deaceased Senior member.
Social Pension Updating the Senior Citizens of the different Federation in Imus. Senior Citizen whose age ranges from 77 and above, belong to the poor among the poorest.

Concerned clients are always welcome to approach anybody in the OSCA Office. Remember no MONEY involve in the OSCA when making transaction.

Requirements in acquiring Identification Card for Senior Citizens

  1. Any citizen of the Philippines at least sixty (60) years and residing at least six (6) month in the City of Imus
  2. Must present to the OSCA a photocopy of his/her Birth Certificate or any identification whether Postal ID, SSS ID, GSIS ID, Voters ID, Passport or even Drivers License where their birth date is indicated.
  3. Must secure a Registration form and submit the same to the OSCA together with together with two (2) 1 x 1 picture; one to be attached to the Registration Form, the other to the ID.
